A self contained holiday flat adjoining the owner’s detached stone cottage, built on the cliffs at one side of beautiful Cwm-yr-Eglwys bay. Y Bont has views across Newport Bay from the lawned garden. A perfect place to take breakfast!
This property is in an idylic setting with stunning views, a tiny stream tumbles down from Dinas Head along side the garden and there is direct access onto the beach. There is parking and moorings for a small boat. Choughs and many seabirds nest along the cliffs. Cwm y Eglwys is a small hamlet of mainly fishermen’s cottages clustered around the ruins of the 12th century church of St Brynach. It is situated one mile for the village of Dinas, with eating places and small shops and garage. Fishguard is just 4 miles to the south and Newport 3 miles to the north. Other attractions in the area include the Preseli Mountains, the Celtic village of Nevern, and the Iron Age Fort at Castell Henllys. Newport Estuary and the long sandy beach are popular with bird watchers and provide easy walking.
The property has been completely renovated recently. The accommodation is all on one floor. The kitchen/dining and lounge area is open plan with the entrance from the garden. The double bedroom is at the rear of the property with an ensuite shower room. The kitchen area has fridge, dishwasher, hob and microwave/oven with plenty of cupboards and dining table and chairs.
